Nortel VPN v4.60 and v4.86
I install the exact same VPN software on the laptop and setup IE LAN settings for the proxy script exactly the same way my desktop is setup. Does anybody have any suggestions for what could be causing this problem on my laptop? I have already tried turning off the Windows firewall. That didn't help. Thank you.

The same VPN connection settings work for ME and W2K, but XP won't even come close (Error 800). I've read the help text for Error 800 and everything is in order. Any suggestions? . I use Venus as an RRAS for my Windows and Nortel VPN authentication. If you right click on Venus, go to properties, and then select the IP tab, you'll see the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this normal? Should I not be running RRAS and DNS on the same server? Your input is very welcome, Mike.

We use a Nortel VPN solution for our remote users. Prior to upgrading to the 4.8 client, we were using the 4.7 client w/ win2k desktops. This solution worked well for us, Has any one experienced this problem or can you lend any suggestions, other than going back to the 4.7 client - (which works fine)?

I opened up port 500 (UDP) to allow ISAKMP traffic Any suggestions on what I can do to get the traffic to pass through with out opening up my firewall. On the other end of the VPN is another 221 with a staic address. Then I try to change the "Secure Gateway Address" to 0.0.0.0, I get an error saying "This IKE rule has static policy rules."
